Beauty ATC

Flick, originally uploaded by Bio-hazar.

I've had a nice afternoon making some ATCs that I've promised for a couple of swaps that I'm in this month. The one at the top was done using a technique from "Artist Trading Card Workshop" book that I got recently. The background is done by adding water based paints to a wet baby wipe and then letting it dry. It's then cut to ATC size (2 1/2 by 3 1/2") and glued to a piece of backing card stock. The image was downloaded on-line by doing a google search for free vintage images. It was cut out, added and altered with coloured pencils and paint. Title was stamped onto a scrap of text from an old book. I really love the result of this one, and am very reluctant to give it away for the swap. I might try to make another one for myself to keep :)

The two ATCs below are also for swaps. "The Art of Sound" one is one of a set of three. Done using Cuttlebug Allegro Embossing folder, Ranger Distress inks, Crafty Individual stamp, crackle medium, printed text, ribbon, staples and a charm covered in alcohol inks. The Distressed one is also one of a set of three ATCs for UKStampers monthly swap. This months theme is "Distressed" Done using card stock that is rubbed with Ranger Hazelnut Paint dapper then inked over with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The card stock was then embossed with Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes folder and sanded down. Pieces of an old book were then torn and inked with Vintage Photo and stamped with Crafty Individual stamp and glued to the distressed card stock. The believe definition was printed from the computer and crumpled and inked with Ranger Distress Ink Vintage Photo and spiced marmalade. It was then backed with brown card stock and glued to the card stock. I used Ranger alcohol inks on a metal brad and used it to attach ribbon to the top of the card stock and then back to whole think onto brown card stock.
